National Majority leader Aden Duale has called upon the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to come clear over its preparedness to conduct a fresh presidential poll.

According to the Garissa Town MP, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati needs to stop side shows and reveal his position in regard to the fresh poll following the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta' s win by the Supreme Court.

He asked IEBC not to divert its attention to the memo Chebukati allegedly wrote to CEO Ezra Chiloba seeking clarification on various issues within the commission.

"We don't care about that memo. We want to be told whether the commission is ready to hold an election and what mechanisms they have put in place," Duale said.

The Garissa Town MP also said that the two political outfits- NASA and Jubilee- should not create enemity between each other as we prepare for a fresh election.

He asked the commission to organise public meetings for both parties to raise their concerns before holding the poll for the sake of peace in the nation.

"We don't want to create an environment of rumor mongering and lack of trust. Let NASA and Jubilee sit in this meeting and raise any matter,"
