The Garissa lawmaker requested media houses not to use the name of the party in the matter, adding that Jubilee has nothing to do with the bill.

"I, therefore caution the media to desist from misreporting on such matters by ensuring they come out with the correct information and facts as opposed to using the ruling Jubilee Party in sensationalizing their reporting, " he said.

He also said that the lawmaker belongs to KANU, adding that the constitution is very clear over the same.

Duale further noted that media houses need to find out facts on different matters before sharing with the entire nation.

"Kamket is a KANU MP and the records are very clear. Therefore the proposed bill which he seeks to bring to the house is not a Jubilee party sponsored the bill," he stated.

The bill has continued to attract mixed reactions from both Jubilee and National Super Alliance (NASA) since it came into the public domain.

In the bill, the MP wants the position of Prime Minister re-intrpriced.
