The Thursday statement by NASA leader Raila Odinga hinting that he may be keen on an alliance with Deputy President William Ruto is continuing to elicit mixed reactions with Garissa Township MP Aden Duale being the latest to add his voice onto the matter.

Raila who was speaking in Kericho claimed that the DP can only win the Presidential race only with his support.

But in a post on his Twitter handle, the National Assembly Majority leader claimed that they do not need Raila's 'unsolicited support'. He added that that the former Prime Minister's 'offer' is an indication that he (Raila) has realized that Ruto is the man to watch in 2022.

"Unsolicited support from Agwambo confirms that Ruto is the candidate to watch and front-runner 2022", said Duale who is one of Ruto's most trusted allies.

Earlier, Ruto's spokesperson David Mugonyi said that the DP is for now not interested in politics. He, at the same time, questioned Raila's offer saying that the former Premier had entered an agreement with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of 2022.
