Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has rubbished NASA's 'Maanzoni declaration' made by opposition leaders on Saturday.
Duale says that the declaration does not hold any waters and is a waste of time.
Speaking to journalists in Garissa Town on Sunday, the vocal Jubilee MP claimed that Raila and his troops are engaging in losing battles.
Duale noted that the best thing for the opposition now is to focus and strategize on 2022 and live president Uhuru Kenyatta's government to serve Kenyans.
"Raila should stop wasting time and instead think of how he will battle with Deputy President (DP) William Ruto in 2022," he said on Sunday.
The leader of Majority in the National Assembly said that 2017 election is a closed chapter.
He stated that the supreme court ruling that upheld president Uhuru Kenyatta's victory last week marked the end of the election process and that NASA should wait for 2022 to try their luck.
The MP said that 2022 will be a battle for titans adding that Raila should brace up for another possible humiliation on the ballot.
Duale said that DP Ruto will ascend to power in 2022 basing on the development agenda Jubilee government has actualized in the five last five years and the development the government intends to actualize in the coming five years that start on Tuesday after Uhuru's swearing-in.
On Saturday during a mini people's assembly meeting at Maanzoni lodge in Machakos NASA leaders declared that they do not recognize Uhuru's presidency.
The Raila Odinga led opposition vowed to continue its reforms agenda until when electoral justice will be rendered to Kenyans. There had been claims that the opposition was planning to swear in Raila Odinga as Uhuru will be taking oath on Tuesday. However, the opposition seems to have abandoned the plan and instead will hold a requiem mass for victims of police brutality at the Jacaranda grounds on Tuesday as Uhuru will be taking oath at the Kasarani stadium.Police have however warned NASA against their planned Jacaranda rally.Nairobi Police boss Japheth Koome claims that NASA has not notified the police on the rally adding that no parallel meeting will be allowed to take place on Tuesday apart from Uhuru's swearing-in at the Kasarani stadium.
