National Assembly Leader of Majority Aden Duale has called for the strengthening of links between Kenya and Canada.
Speaking after hosting Canada African Parliamentary Association delegation at the parliament buildings in Nairobi County on Monday, the Garissa town Member of Parliament stressed on the need for Kenyans to take advantage of opportunities availed by the Canadian government for personal and national growth.
He urged Kenyans to take up the Canadian global skill strategy framework, an opening he said will increase the number of Kenyans studying and working in the North American country.
''Kenyans must take the Canadian global skill strategy framework opportunity to increase the number of Kenyans studying and working in Canada, The strategy is meant to help Canadian businesses attract global talent,'' he tweeted.
The meeting saw the participants discuss the cordial relationship between the two countries, with the military, political, cultural and education sectors dominating the talks.
''We discussed the cordial relationship between Canada and Kenya, future prospects in the political, education, cultural and military sectors,'' Duale added in a separate tweet.
The meeting also saw the Liberal Party of Canada layout frameworks as it seeks to further strengthen links with the government of Kenya.
