Amis's Interior ministry crackdown, already, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati has linked unmentioned MP to the controversial trade which trade unionist Francis Atwoli says has denied millions of Kenyans jobs.

"We know those who are behind this trade. One is a colleague of mine and time has come for an action to be taken against him," he said.

At Machakos on Saturday, at least 2,000 bags were nabbed by the police as the crackdown entered its forth day.

But Umar, who was once linked to an affair with Majority Leader Aden Duale, now says Ruto should take responsibility over the illegal sugar.

"It is DP Ruto behind poisonous sugar and his right hand minions. I have dared to say what other leaders cannot. Arrest Ruto and his right hand loud mouths," she said.

She added: "Ruto is the head and mastermind of maize and electric company scandals. Uhuru has not option other that to fire his hungry deputy."

Further, Umar said, President Uhuru should suspend Ruto with immediate effect pending investigations and lifestyle audit.

For the second week in a row, a section of politicians working closely with the DP have accused President Uhuru of unfairly targeting his deputy in graft war.
