Maalim says that Raila will win the August polls very early on August 8 if Muslims back his candidature.

Speaking in Garissa Town on Monday, Maalim said that NASA seriously needs the Muslim votes to be guaranteed of a win in the August 8 polls.

He said that the Somali community has numbers that can send Raila Odinga to State House on August 8.

“I want to appeal to the Muslim and the Somali community to support Raila Odinga’s bid in the August 8 polls,” he said.

Maalim stated that Muslims stand to gain if Raila win the August 8 polls. He said that Raila has been the defender of Muslim rights ad that he deserves support in his presidential bid.

The former National Assembly deputy speaker asked the Muslims to ignore Jubilee government saying that the President Kenyatta led administration has not championed their interests   for the last four years it has been in power.

“Don’t let anyone with fake development promises sway your decisions,” he said.

Maalim at the same time urged Muslims to pray for peaceful August 8 polls as they mark Ramadhan. He said that peace is crucial for the country as it prepares for the August 8n polls.

Maalim is battling to unseat Aden Duale. The former Deputy speaker says that he has the numbers to beat Duale.

Duale on the other hand claims that Maalim is a political reject and has not space in politics. The Garissa Parliamentary seat  will be  among those to be watch  in the August 8 polls.
