Garissa Governor Nathif Jama says the alleged remarks by National Assembly Majority leader Aden Duale do not represent the leaders and people of Garissa.
This follows a clip that surfaced on social media alleging that majority leader Aden Duale asking his supporters to oust the Kamba community, something that has elicited a lot of reaction from both Kenyans and the leaders.
The county boss further apologized to the country and the Kamba community.
“I want to apologize to the country and so to the Kamba community over the remarks by h majority leader. Those sentiments do not represent the peace-loving people of Garissa,” he stated.
He added that Garissa is a cosmopolitan town that accommodates every community.
