Kassait Kamket (Tiaty MP) is pushing for a bill that is likely to see the reintroduction of the PM post and the extension of the Presidential term in office to 7 years.

Duale has, however, said that the bill will not sail through.

“The Bill by Kassait Kamket (Tiaty MP) will never see the light of day,” Duale said in an exclusive interview with Citizen TV  on Tuesday.

The lawmaker (Kamket) had said that the bill was meant to solve the problem of power sharing and benefit the common mwananchi.

Duale also said that the Jubilee administration is mainly geared towards the implementation of the big four agenda and not changing the constitution.

He reminded the lawmaker to take the issues to parliament and not funerals as well as media talk shows among other places.

The lawmaker has insisted that the bill will ensure exclusivity if adopted by the nation.

“Enactment of the Bill will foster inclusivity in the leadership of the country and proper accountability of the government to Parliament,” reads the Bill in part.
