Garissa MP Aden Duale has asked the Kamba community to snub the opposition in order to be part of the winning team. Duale also reminded the Kamba community to sue National Super Alliance (NASA) Leader Raila Amolo Odinga at The Hague based International Criminal Court of Justice for pulling out of the Presidential race without the knowledge of his running mate Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking at Zombe in Kitui, Duale, a strong critic of the former prime minister, said that the opposition lied to the community that Kalonzo will become the second in command only to change his mind along the way.
“If there is a community that was phished and it must file a case at ICC it is this community of the Kambas. You were told that your son is a running mate and he will become the deputy President but recently he was left stranded. He was not told what was transpiring in NASA; he only got shocked when Raila pulled out of the rerun,” Duale, a Garissa MP said.
Duale was accompanied by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto among other leaders. The President and his deputy urged the community to turn out in large numbers to ensure that he retains power when that time comes.
The leaders from the community under the leadership of former Kitui Senator David Musila asked the residents to back Uhuru’s re-election. The leaders insisted that they have been in the opposition for many years, adding that it has nothing to offer.
“There is nothing to show in terms of development for all those years we have been in the opposition. We want development and we know we cannot get that from the opposition and their demonstrations,” Musila said, as quoted by Capital FM.
