The outspoken politician called on the police to carry out thorough investigations to determine the circumstances around the shameful incident.

''The police, Mr. Speaker, cannot say they are not aware of that. They must investigate that matter. It must be investigated to get to the root. If it is the leader who has played around with his integrity we should now. If it is about extortion rings and thuggery we should also know. Technology was used in the wrong way by thugs,'' Duale said.

The lawmaker was speaking on Wednesday in Parliament during a debate on the matter.

Many Kenyans were shocked by the video, triggering an animated debate especially on social media.

The Deputy Governor said  yesterday that the video had been shot by thugs who were keen on humiliating him.
