Mwingi North MP John Munuve has urged Opposition alliance NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga to dump Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

Mr Musyoka is set to deputize the ODM Party leader during the August polls, in a NASA deal unveiled at Uhuru Park recently.

In a telephone interview with The Star Newspaper on Tuesday, the legislator argued that Mr Musyoka has lost grip of the Ukambani region politics characterized by the recent defections of key Wiper members.

“If I were Raila, I would remove Kalonzo. What is he bringing to the table? Its like having a brand new bus without an engine and the gearbox. The driver was Musila and the makanga (conductor) was Muthama. Without them there is nothing,” he noted.

Wiper Party is undergoing a turbulent phase, with ongoing infightings that have threatened the unity of the NASA affiliate party.
