Munyua says that he is personally wooing Kalonzo out of the Raila Odinga led opposition.

Speaking to journalists after attending a church service at St Paul Catholic Church in Gachororo, Juja sub county on Sunday, Munyua said that Kalonzo has nothing to benefit in Cord.

The MP claimed that Kalonzo is being used by Raila for political gains.

“It is time Kalonzo listened to the voices asking him to quit Cord because there is no future for him in the opposition,” said the Juja MP.

The Juja lawmaker asked Kalonzo to stand firm and make a decision that will help transform the Ukambani region.

Several politicians in Jubilee have been wooing Kalonzo to consider working with Uhuru in 2017.

Two months ago a section of MPs from Kalonzo’s Wiper party ditched the party and joined Uhuru’s Jubilee party.

The defectors have been urging Kalonzo to ditch Cord in favour of Jubilee.

Kalonzo has however said that he is not interested in joining President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The former Vice President says that he is in Cord to stay and is confident of being endorsed as Cord 2017 presidential flag bearer.

Meanwhile, the Juja MP has hailed Narc Kenya leader Martha Karua and former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth for supporting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s 2017 re-election bid.

Munyua said that Karua and Kenneth's move is welcomed by the larger Jubilee fraternity.

“We want t reach out to leaders who will help Jubilee government shape the destiny of Kenyans,” he said.

The Juja lawmaker exuded confidence that Kenyans will endorse President Kenyatta for a second term in 2017.
