Uasin Gishu County Government has partnered with Hanse Staalbouw Company to construct a potato storage facility in Ainabkoi Constituency, Uasin Gishu County.
Hanse Staalbouw is a Dutch company whose main expertise is the construction and improvement of agricultural barns.
Speaking \t Ainabkoi Farmers Cooperative Society on Wednesday, the CEC for trade Philip Melly said the county is working to ensure farmers benefit from the potatoes planting.
"As a county we will ensure that extension agricultural officers are available to advise all potato farmers, both large and small scale," he said.
Remco Clartov, the project manager said farmers can sell their potatoes when the prices are high on prices due to the availability of potato storage facility in the region.
