The governor alleges that cases of graft in some government institutions are rampant and wants the agency to urgently investigate.

Mandago said that any public officer or individual found to be taking part in corruption should be arrested and prosecuted.

“The EACC should quickly start investigation into cases of graft in some public offices in Eldoret town,” said Mandago.

The county boss, who addressed the press at Eldoret town, said that he has received several complaints from the public.

The governor alleged that the problem is rampant especially in the application and issuance of passports.

Mandago said that corruption is still rampant and the government and stakeholders must devise more measures to curb it.

He said that poverty will continue to be rife in the country unless the government deals with corruption.

“Corruption is a big disease that needs the cooperation of everyone,” he said, adding that the county would not hesitate to take appropriate measures against any public official implicated in graft.
