Retired Archbishop Eliud Wabukala has revealed to a top television station programme that it forwarded a report to the Speaker of the National Assembly that singled out two CS nominees as having integrity issues.
Though he was coy about revealing more details, the chairperson of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) Eliud Wabukala also revealed that the two CS nominees are former governors.
Going by this revelation it is safe to assume that the two are Peter Munya and Ukur Yattani both of whom served as governors of Meru County and Marsabit County respectively.
They have faced allegations of corruption and embezzlement of public funds during their tenure as governors.
At every turn, they have strongly rebuffed those allegations, saying that they are clean.
Their nomination has been unanimously confirmed by the Jubilee Members of Parliament.
