Mr Wako said that many political leaders in the county who have been caught engaging in corruption had been charged in court.

He asked Kenyans not to criticise the commission because its officials are committed to end the menace.

"As EACC we have not spared anyone in the war against corruption as critics now claim. As a commission we are putting more efforts to ensure zero corruption cases are recorded in the country,” he said.

He said cases the agency has worked on include NYS, Anglo-Leasing among other cases.

Mr Waqo added that the commission spends a lot of time scrutinizing documents before the suspects are arrested and taken to court.

“While doing investigations, we conduct thorough scrutiny of documents before the suspects are arrested. We follow procedures as required by the law to fight corruption,” he added.
