Mr Omtata accused Mr Mubea of receiving a Sh50.4 million bribe from Michael and Daud & Company Associates with an intention to cover those under investigation over a graft in the National Youth Service(NYS) in which Sh791 million shillings cannot be accounted for.

Through his lawyer, Mubea said that what Omtata claims does not add up given that everyone involved in the saga had been taken to court and saying that he was trying to cover them from investigations was total lie.

He went further to say that it was also wrong for the human rights activist to claim that the law firm took the bribe on his behalf.

He said that even though he worked for the firm in the past, he eventually left in 2013 after securing a job with EACC and therefore he had no more links with the firm.

The case will be heard again on September 8.
