The Ethics and Anti-Commission says it has received various reports regarding conduct of Members of County Assemblies of Mandera, Bungoma, Murang'a, Makueni, Nyeri, Kericho, Taita Taveta, Nairobi and Homa Bay Counties in their respective assemblies and out of the assemblies.
In a communication on Tuesday, EACC confirmed that it has commenced investigations into the incidences and will take appropriate legal action in line with Chapter Six of the Constitution and other applicable laws.
The Commission indicated that such conduct raises serious ethical and integrity standards governing the conduct of state officers, as laid out in chapter six of the constitution and the Leadership and Integrity Act, 2012.
The Ethics and anti-graft agency further called on all elected and appointed leaders to maintain dignity and decorum in both their public and private lives.
