The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) is investigating Soy MP Edwin Barichilel following complaints from the locals that tenders for the constituencies were being single sourced.
The MP is also being probed for irregularly distribution of bursary funds.
According to the Eldoret-based Centre for Human Rights and Democracy (CHRD), the MP has been awarding tenders to his cronies.
The organisation's Deputy Director Kipkorir Ng'etich said they wrote to EACC after receiving several complaints from the locals.
"We want to thank EACC for receiving the mwananchi's complaints and assuring us that they have started probing the MP," noted Ng'etich.
"Locals were complaining of single sourcing and awarding of bursaries to people close to the MP hence denying the services to the many deserving constituents," he added.
