EACC on Thursday interrogated former youth enterprise fund officials over fund misappropriation.
Bruce Odhiambo and Catherine Namuye were accused of mishandling Sh180 million prompting the Mps to adopt a report recommending the investigation of the two together with businessman Mukuria Ngamau.
This comes after the National Assembly's Public investment committee tabled a report showing how the huge amount of money was stolen from the Youth Enterprise Development Fund and misused by some officials.
According to the committee, the suspects used the money to buy posh homes, settle their debts and also lining the pockets of powerful people, law firms and other companies.
Businessman Ngamau is accused of using his company Corundum Limited’s Chase Bank account to receive money from the youth enterprise fund.
He also made several transactions with third parties such as purchase of a luxurious apartment in Lavington, Nairobi.
The legislators, however, gave the anti-graft agency and the DCI a two months period to report on the action taken against the accused three.
