Pneumonia is an acute or chronic inflammation of the lung caused by viruses, bacteria or sometimes by physical or chemical irritants. The symptoms of pneumonia range from mild to severe, determined by factors such the causative agent and age in most instances. Medically, it is caused by two causative agent which include viral and bacterial infection.

High fever
Fever is a high than normal temperature of a person usually caused by diseases. The fever may occur after 12- 36 hours. This symptoms is generally attributed to viral infections. If you have noticed such a sign or symptom, do not hesitate to visit a doctor.
Wheezing
wheezing is breathing harder with an audible piping or whistling sound. This condition also happen to asthmatic people. It is a symptom of pneumonia that you should not ignore.
Coughing
Generally, there are different types of cough which include dry cough, wet cough, croup cough, and whooping cough. These coughs differs. In this case, pneumonia is associated with wet cough whereby a person produces mucus or phlegm. This condition needs attention and make an appointment of seeing a doctor.
Shortness of breath
Shortness of breath is basically caused by anemia, lung cancer, athsma, heart failure including pneumonia. This condition is usually associated with failure of the lung and heart to perform their roles effectively, transportation of oxygen into the tissues and removal of carbon dioxide. Chest pain
This symptom is just evident and undoubtedly that you might be developing pneumonia in the body. Chest pain can be as a result of asthma, lung cancer and pneumonia as well.
