Eastleigh centre business owners have endorsed Nairobi governor Evans Kidero's re-election bid.

Speaking in Eastleigh on Wednesday, the traders' Chairman Ibrahim Hussein vowed to throw support behind the governor in the polls.

He said the traders had already seen the good qualities in the governor, adding that he was the only one among aspirants they could trust.

"You are a person who we can trust. We have seen your leadership and we do not want to gamble," Hussein said.Hussein also crowned Kidero an elder of the Somali community saying that this was their sign of commitment to their pledge.

Kidero's running mate  Jonathan Mueke, who was with the governor, said the voters needed to vote wisely since they stand to suffer for long in case they bring in poor leadership.

"You can all see what we have done. Roads are here. Streets are paved. We cannot see any garbage here," he said.
