Pizza is one of the favorite snacks for most Kenyans. They majorly buy from fast food restaurants because they have no idea on homemade pizza recipe. Here is a simple recipe to help you prepare it:

Ingredients

Package 1/4 ounce of dry yeast

1 teaspoon sugar

1 1/4 cups warm water (110 degrees to 115 degrees)

1/4 cup canola oil

1 teaspoon salt

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 pound ground beef

1 small onion, chopped

1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce

3 teaspoon dried oregano

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 medium diced dried pepper

2 cups shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese

Procedure

Dissolve yeast and sugar in water in a large glass bowl and let it stand for 5 minutesAdd oil and salt then stir in flour a cup at a time until a soft dough forms.

Turn the soft dough onto a floured surface then knead until smooth and elastic for 2-3 minutes place it onto a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top of dough.

Cover it and let it rise in a warm place until doubled for about 45 minutes. Meanwhile, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink then drain 

Punch down dough and divide into half and press each into a greased 12-inch pizza pan

Combine the tomato sauce, oregano, and basil and spread over crust.Top with beef mixture, green pepper, and cheese.

Bake at 400° for 25-30 minutes or until crust is lightly browned.This recipe is specifically for preparing 2 pizzas 3 servings each.
