Let's admit this simple fact, we all have had crushes at-least at one point in our lives. Some more than others, but this is an experience that always seems to catch you on the wrong foot. Without prior knowledge of how to tackle this uneasy and awkward situation.
A crush is a hyped up feeling of admiration for someone, most probably an individual you know you cannot have a relationship with; maybe an on-screen celebrity, your elder brother's girlfriend, your strict-but-hot Math teacher, that devastatingly handsome boy-next-door, or even that 'perfect 10' girl or boy that sits in the same class as you.
You may have staggered on approach or even never tried at all, if you can reach them then we have the absolute starter pack for you. Don't let a crush get in the way of true love. Here are tips to approach a crush.
Confidence is key
Build up yourself at every presented opportunity, practice makes perfect always. Challenge yourself to master the art of starting conversations with random people, make it interesting as you ease into it. Say Hi and Hello till you own those words, if you're the shy type this can be a somewhat more complex task for you but don't you fret; take a deep breath, compose yourself and head straight for the jugular.
Once you've mastered self-confidence, be the predator and dictate the conversation. There are simple ways of doing this; first, make sure you know his or her interests. What do they love doing, their hobbies, the kind of music they listen to, their hang out joints amongst other several interests. If you do not know anything about them then the trick lies in being adept at general topics such as current events, issuing pinpoint compliments on their dressing, and general stimulating small talk.
Secondly, learn more about these interests beforehand. To make the conversation deep and genuine one has to go the extra mile and perfect their knowledge so as not to embarrass themselves in front of their crush. If this seems cumbersome find common interests that you have in common, this is the ultimate jackpot.
Finally, avoid making the interaction an interrogation. As much as you would like to know more about them, as often as possible try to surrender some information about yourself. Make it a conversation in which both sides contribute. Remember preparing for this conversation does not mean that you become rigid and all structured like a robot, be flexible, present and genuine when talking with your crush.
Now go get them!
