According to Chief Executive Azym Dossa, the centres should be located in all counties and should also perform basic health check-ups.

Dossa said NTSA should not come up with “knee-jerk” actions such as the ban on night travel during business peak.

He said when the ban was imposed at the end of last year, they were forced to cancel all night bookings yet it was during the festivities and they had to cater for back-to-school travellers and those resuming work after the New Year.

“We were not able to sell any new tickets, so our revenue since the ban has dwindled. This has a big effect on our income, more so considering that we do not increase fares to take advantage of the rush like many other PSV operators do,” said Dossa.
