Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama has asked Early Childhood Development Education teachers who were recently employed by the county government to ensure the children get value of resources his administration has pumped into the Education ministry.
Nyagarama said the county has employed qualified teachers and has placed all the required facilities in the institutions to ensure the ECDE children from the county get quality foundation education.
"We have ensured that learners get a conducive environment for studies unlike in the past when they used to be taught under trees hence laying a poor foundation for their education. We ask the teachers we have employed to ensure the children are well prepared for their higher education," said Nyagarama.
The county boss spoke Wednesday during an induction exercise for ECDE teachers at Rangenyo Secondary School.
Nyagarama said the county will hire more teachers to be posted to public primary schools.
