Over 1,280 ECDE teachers have been trained on the new education curriculum in Uasin Gishu County.

County director of education Roselyn Kosgei on Wednesday said the training is to prepare the teachers for the competency-based curriculum.

“The aim of the training is to ensure the teachers get the required skills which will help them help learners get the good knowledge to excel,” she said.

Kosgei added that no one will be left out in the training because teachers have never been trained.

“The training targets every teacher so that we don’t get complains that some don’t understand how the new education curriculum operates,” she noted.

The new education curriculum was introduced by the ministry of education this year.
