According to the county director of Education Roselyn Kosgei, the training was aimed at adequately preparing teachers for the CBC as well as equipping them with necessary skills to implement the CBC using Inquiry Based Learning Approach.

"The areas of training include learning areas of Early Years of Education (EYE), Interpretation of curriculum designs part 1&2 which entails national goals of education, Learning experiences, Core competencies, Pertinent and Contemporary Issues (PCI) among others," Kosgei said.

She spoke during the training in Eldoret town on Wednesday.

Kosgei said the  County's Department of Education in partnership with Kenya Private Schools Association (KPSA) will soon bring on board all private ECDE teachers for the same training.

"As a County, we will provide the trainers because we want ECDE teachers to be part and parcel of the new curriculum, we want our children to get quality and not quantity education," Kosgei added.
