The Economic Freedom Party (EPF) will officially be launched Saturday in Nairobi.
The party which is fronted by a section of Mandera leaders will be unveiled at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).
EFP which has blessings of the Mandera Council of Elders was formed after aspirants backed by the elders in Mandera under the “negotiated democracy” arrangement were denied direct nominations by Jubilee party.
The launch will be led by a National Delegates Conference (NDC) earlier in the day.
According to one of the party’s aspirant, Maalim Hajir, Kenyans across the country desiring to join the party would be allowed to register at the venue of the event and also after the event.
“The National delegates Conference is only for registered party members while the launch conference is public and open to everyone willing to attend,” said Hajir in a statement to newsrooms.
Hajir noted that working for faster socio-economic development of the country in line with vision 2030 was among the party’s top agenda.
