Kisumu County executive for education Jennifer Kere has been challenged to allocate more funds to improve education sector within the region.
The furious residents of the county challenged the executive director to see more classrooms are built rationed to the teaching staff in order for form candidates securing adequate admissions with school.
The parents’ association representative James Agengo speaking on Tuesday at an educational forum at Ezra Gumbe, Agengo urged the executive director for education Jennifer Kere that admissions for form pupils should be done with high integrity and equitable distribution is maximised.
“Most of our pupils needed equal and better chances in admissions based on the credibility and it is our plea that our pupils received proper schools with proper facilities,” said Agengo.
Uwezo Kenya regional representative Elizabeth Ojwang who also attended the educational forum challenged the executive for education Jennifer Kere to come up with proper measures to see admissions were conducted in a more equitable manner and educational facilities are expanded to enable pupils to get admissions.
“Educational facilities needed to be improved within the schools that would see our pupils getting admissions in a more equitable manner,” said Ojwang.
