The Ministry of Education will allocate more funds for school infrastructure beginning this month in a move to create innovative learning spaces in both primary and secondary school.
According to education principal secretary Belio Kipsang, the funds will be allocated as from January.
“As a government we want our students to learn in a conducive environment where they will get quality and not quantity education,” he said in Eldoret town, Sunday.
“I also call upon county education officers to frequently visit schools and monitored how students are taught since there are other teachers who only stay in staffroom doing nothing,” he added.
On the new education curriculum, Kipsang said that the government has trained 160,000 teachers across the country for them to get skills and knowledge to roll out the new curriculum.
“The training of the 160,000 schools have been completed and have been deployed in various schools for the start of the new curriculum,” he noted.
