Kisumu county health practitioners have been challenged to organise more training to educate locals on lifestyle diseases.

Speaking on Wednesday at the Kisumu County Hospital, the Kisumu county Medical Lifestyle Diseases Analyst Eve Koyo noted that there was need to educate locals on the proper ways to curb lifestyle diseases asking the county government to allocate funds towards health education.

She also asked the medical practitioners to frequently educate the locals on proper eating habits in order to curb lifestyle diseases like obesity, high blood pressure and stroke amongst others.

Her counterpart Judith odindo, a medical practitioner also stated that in order to stay away from lifestyle diseases, it is a must to keep a healthy lifestyle by maintaining a healthy diet and exercise often.

Odindo also challenged the county government to have more frequent education that would promote proper health standards among the locals.
