Students joining teachers' training colleges will be introduced to a new syllabus designed to prepare them for the new curriculum in primary schools.This was revealed by Acting Education Cabinet Secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i at Strathmore University yesterday.The move will see students take three years in their course that will lead to the award of Education Diplomas.To gain admission to these colleges, students will have to score a C, a departure from the C-.The focus of the new syllabus will be on handling the new 2-6-6-3 curriculum.Matiang'i said that the new curriculum will make the teachers even more efficient.
