Edward Manoah has been re-appointed National Super League (NSL) Champions Vihiga United head coach for the 2018 season.
The coach has a task of leading the team in their maiden Kenya Premier League (KPL) campaign after being promoted from NSL last year alongside Wazito FC.
The coach has been re-appointed less than two months after he resigned from the position towards the end of last year, citing management’s lack of commitment to renew his contract which was to end in April this year.
The coach was unveiled on Monday at the Kidundu Stadium in Vihiga alongside first assistant coach Tom Tera, second assistant coach Francis Xavier and 10 new players.
Of the 10 players is Daudi Saisi, who is the son to current Vihiga County deputy governor Patrick Lumumba Saisi.
The other new players are striker Andrew Murunga signed from Kakamega Homebyz, Michael Isabwa (Kariobangi Sharks), Godfrey Oputi (Palos FC), Ali Kesi, Fernandez Terra (FC Talanta), Victor Ayugi (KCB), Vincent Wanda (Palos FC) and William Oricho (Kibera Black Stars).
The other players who make Vihiga United’s 2018 squad are: Caleb Wanyonyi, Caleb Wanyonyi, Dennis Ombeva, Zablon Khaemba, Moffat Liuva, David Khavaji, Benard Ochieng, Patrick Okullo (captain), Godfrey Ayiro, Jacob Atinda, Chris Masinza, Kelvin Mugona, Silicho Soita, Amos Kigandi, Barnabas Tiema, Kelvin Sagida and Charles Okwemba.
The unveiling was led by Club Chairman and Machakos Boys High School Principal Kahi Indimuli.
