Economic Freedom Party has congratulated president Uhuru Kenyatta on his win after the Supreme Court upheld his October 26 victory.
Party chairman Isaack Hassan said his party is happy with the Supreme Court decision to declare Kenyatta as the president-elect.
“As a party, we congratulate Kenyatta on his win. We wish him well in his second term as the Head of State,” he said.
He assured that EFP will work closely with Jubilee administration, having drummed for his support in this year's elections.
“We know our people will benefit from Uhuru's win,” he said.
He challenged Kenyans to focus on building the nation and get away from tribal issues.
“The country has been going through a long electioneering period. The Supreme Court has made its verdict and now people can go back to their usual business,” he added.
EFP won most of the seats in Mandera County on August 8 polls.
The party members have been giving County Governor Ali Roba of Jubilee Party a hard time in his leadership since he was sworn into office.
EFP MCAs walked out of the assembly when Roba opened officially the assembly in September.
