A man suspected to be behind an arson attack on two schools in Kuresoi South on Thursday surrendered to the police.

The suspect identied as Ronald Kerich, a graduate of Egerton University, surrendered to Chebarra Location Chief Christine Chumo.

Kerich is being castigated over burning a St Joseph Kirandich Secondary School dormitory in Keringet. 

He was accompanied by a middle-aged woman who was suspected to be an accomplice. 

Ms Chumo confirmed the surrender of the two and added that police are already conducting investigations into the matter.

The chief said Kerich claimed to have gone to the school but only after the dormitory had caught fire.
