Egerton University has established an independent Information Centre.
The centre will offer services to visitors, potential and existing clients and members of public.
The centre that is situated a few metres from their main gate at the Njoro Main Campus will be equipped with digital data and information about the university’s operations.
The University will coordinate and centralize information for admissions tendering, research among other key issues concerning the university’s operations.
Speaking to this writer on Wednesday Egerton University Deputy Registrar Stella Kipchumba said the new information office will ease operations at the university.
Kipchumba further noted that the offices will provide up to date information during enquiries.
“This is a strategy that the management hopes will help provides efficiency in our service charter. Instead of visitors or potential clients and members of the public walking up and down the university offices that are scattered all over our huge compound, this office will simplify and ease the issues at hand. It is a centralized front office service for all university academic and administrative functions,’’ said Kipchumba.
