Egypt will get an automatic qualification to participate in the CHAN tournament to fill in Kenya's slot.

Kenya had been handed the slot courtesy of hosting the event.

However, after the hosting rights were taken away, Morocco were given the okay to host.

Earlier during the qualifiers, Morocco and Egypt had fought for a slot into the tournament with the former beating the Pharaohs to bag it.

The competition will start from January 12 to February 14 next year.
