The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) might lock out eight presidential aspirants from the 2017 race.

The eight have not yet met the required qualifications needed for one to run as an independent candidates.

Among the qualifications that might lock out the eight is presenting 2000 signatures of non-political members from at least 24 counties.

Sources at IEBC have hinted that many Independent candidates have not been able to get these voters who do not belong to any political party to nominate them.
