Thirdway Alliance party leader Ekuru Aukot has dismissed the idea of forming a merger with the National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition in a bid to form a strong opposition.
According to Aukot, Thirdway Alliance has a different brand of politics from what NASA advocates for and the party looks forward to working with fresh political minds.
Aukot made the remarks while replying to a tweet asking him to join hands with NASA leaders Kalonzo Musyoka, Moses Wetang'ula and Musalia Mudavadi and form a merger considering Raila Odinga had decided to work with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
"To form an alliance with those Folks is like taking a beautiful bath or to jump back into the mud. @Thirdwaykenya's politics is a different brand. We are content. We are keen to work with fresh political minds," tweeted Aukot.
Aukot further believes the country is almost institutionalizing impunity. In his view, people both in government and outside government have resorted to the idea of impunity.
"Impunity in our country Kenya is almost being institutionalized. The fall back position for everyone whether in government or outside government is impunity," added Aukot.
Aukot also dismissed the idea of crowning self declared National Resistance Movement (NRM) general Miguna Miguna as the new opposition leader terming the move as 'cherishing' impunity.
