[Photo/the-star]The Thirdway Alliance party leader Ekuru Aukot has hit back at President Uhuru Kenyatta after he opposed his bid to have him included in the October 17 repeat presidential poll.In a petition filed in court on Friday, Uhuru has argued that the only eligible contestants in the fresh election are him and National Super Alliance flag bearer Raila Odinga. The president's petition came days after Aukot moved to court to protest IEBC's decision to limit the number of candidates who will participate in the repeat pollIn the petition, Aukot argues that he has a constitutional right to take part in the poll. The Thirdway Alliance leader further notes failure to include him in the poll is a violation of his rights and those of his supporters. However, in a sworn statement by Uhuru's cheif agent Davis Chirchir, he says Aukot does not qualify as a candidate and that he had already conceded defeat after the August 8 election.Following the president's petition to have him barred from the October poll, Aukot through a statement on Saturday has promised to teach Uhuru and his chief agent a lesson after the matter is heard and determined."I promise you to give @UKenyatta , his counsels together with Davis Chirchir a legal lesson when the application is heard and determined," said Aukot.
