Former Presidential candidate on the Thirdway Alliance ticket Ekuru Aukot has for the first addressed reports that he was bribed by Jubilee government to participate in the October 26 polls.Speaking on Wednesday, Aukot dismissed the claims which indicated that he had been given billions of shillings to take part in the controversial polls.He has termed the claims as propaganda."I followed the High Court order which directed IEBC to include my name on the ballot," he said on Wednesday during an interview on Radio Jambo's morning show.Aukot said he accepted to be on the ballot after IEBC convinced him the polls will be free and fair."The Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission explained to us how they would effectively do the voting and tallying," he said. "We were happy with the process as was planned by the polls body."He garnered 27,333 votes after the Supreme Court nullified the August 8 exercise.The lawyer said no one could stop his choice to take part in the polls that were won by President Uhuru Kenyatta.NASA leader Raila Odinga had withdrawn from the polls citing lack of credibility.
