According Aukot, Mwangi's remarks is an admission that his Ukweli party is dead and incapable of playing alternative politics.

In a tweet response on Saturday, Aukot has called on Mwangi to keep moving on insisting that it is too early to surrender.

"Are you admitting your Ukweli party is dead and incapable of playing opposition or if you like, alternative politics? It's too soon to surrender boss. Keep moving!" reiterated Aukot in the tweet.

On Friday, Mwangi reiterated that Kenya has become a one party state following the way embattled lawyer Miguna Miguna's situations is being handled.

In his view,  the activist believes the government's disobedience to Court orders is a threat to Constitution and the youth should rise up and resist.

In an opinion article in a local daily, Mwangi further believes the truce between President Uhuru Kenyatta and National Super Alliance (NASA) Raila Odinga has taken away any form of resistance from the opposition chief as he is already working with government.

"Raila Odinga shook hands and can’t translate to his supporters what that handshake means. Word on the street is that Raila is the only beneficiary of the handshake, that’s why he cannot face millions who believed and voted for him. Kenya is now a one party state," remarked Mwangi.
