Speaking on KTN on Friday, the former nominated senator said Wambugu was clearly going astray with his impeachment motion and claimed he does not hold briefs for the Jubilee party.

Elachi further claimed that the first time MP was clearly spoiling for President Uhuru Kenyatta in his bid to galvanize the support base of the Abagusii community which is Maraga's community ahead of the October 17 repeat presidential polls.

"He is wrong and wants to take the country astray. How do you come up with such a plan shortly after the president held a very successful meeting with the Abagusii community? ", she said.

Wambugu in his motion claims that the Chief Justice was clearly influenced in nullifying the August 8 polls and should, therefore, be held to account for the same.

He further claims that Maraga was in constant communication with the petitioner's lawyers, a situation he says influenced the outcome of the September 1 petition.
