The aged from Naivasha sub county are pleading with the county government over what they term as negligence by both the government and the community as well.
Speaking during governor Mbugua Mashinani tour today, the elderly in Naivasha has requested the county government of Nakuru to make follow ups to the National government since they have never recieved 'pesa ya wazee' something which make their life to be miserable.
Lead by their leader Grace Wahito who marked 78years today, the elderly in Naivasha have been discriminated by the National government by paying them in bits and some being chased away over remarks that they come from well background.
Governor Mbugua assured them they will lobby the ministry of devolution to fasten programes for the elderly and that to consider those that have not been receiving the government funds early before.
Present at the meeting are over 30 officers from the county government who have been in town from yesterday, area MP John Kihagi and most of the MCAs from the vast constituency.
Residents from the other 7 wards have separately met the Governor yesterday and today to air their views and also get instant response from the government.
Naivasha becomes the 9th Sub County to be visited with only Nakuru East and West to go under the programme.
