Uhuru Kenyatta supporters and Jubilee party have a reason to smile after a section of elders drawn from Kisii County vowed to support his re-election for the second term.
Speaking at the homestead of Nyaribari MP Richard Tong’i the elders said the Uhuru has delivered most of the promises he had pledged in the first term and there is need to ensure that Kenyans re-elect him for the second time.
Led by Elijah Tinega the elders said the president deserved a second term to enable him to finish various development projects across the country and secure his legacy.
Tinega said the president and by extension, the ruling Jubilee government has delivered many projects for the people.
“Uhuru is the leader who can unite Kenya which is currently on standstill courtesy of the NASA pressure,” said Tinega.
He said the elders would be going round mobilising support for the president to ensure he reclaimed his victory in the August 8 general election.
