A section of elders from Nyamira County now wants Deputy President William Ruto tour the region and apologise to hundreds of IDP's who were displaced in 2007 elections.
Further, they also want the DP to work in speed and ensure the IDPs, who were flashed out of Rift Valley are compensated in full.
Led by Mzee Wilkins Omwenga, they said the presence of the DP would allow them to physically exchange notes and reconcile.
"Apologies from Nairobi won't really work. He needs to come to the ground and see what violence caused in Rift Valley to outsiders.
"Equally, we want those who suffered compensated in full. The money which was given did not benefit the actual people," he said.
During the violence, majority of people who lost property in the populous Rift Valley region blamed Ruto for their woes.
But on record, the DP was exonerated of crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court after a couple of years in defense.
