Parties in a petition challenging election results for Nandi Hills Parliamentary seat are on Wednesday set to converge for a status conference to discuss several issues before the hearing begins.

Among the issues, lawyers are expected to agree during the status conference before the Eldoret High Court Judge George Kanyi Kimondo include issues the court will be determining, amount of time each party will be given, the number of witnesses and when the case will begin.

The petitioner Bernard Kibor who finished second in the Nandi Hills Parliamentary seat contest is seeking nullification of MP Alfred Keter's win.

He accuses the Jubilee MP of campaigning past the stipulated time, voter bribery as well claims there were massive irregularities and illegalities in the elections.

It's only last week that Kibor was allowed as a substitute in the case after a voter who had originally filed the petition Joshua Maritim applied to withdraw from the case on grounds that he was no longer interested in the case and that he had been prevailed upon by Nandi Hills residents and his family to withdraw the matter.

The MP Alfred Keter and IEBC have been named as respondents in the case.
