Zone B Women Premier League side Eldoret Falcons could soon bid goodbyes to financial tribulations that hampered their 2017 campaign after a new sponsor agreed to come to their aid.Club chairman Joshua Ariko on Tuesday revealed that the club was at the last stages of finalizing a deal with the Eldoret-based motor company, Ukerio Motors Limited sometime next week."We are yet to finalize on the details of the sponsorship with the sponsor but as it stands they have agreed to sponsor us.The launch date will be set after the meeting with the sponsor in the course of next week," Ariko said.The chairman also called upon corporate entities to sponsor women soccer teams as a way of helping them grow professionally in the football circles and improve the standards of the game in the country."We thank them for agreeing to be our sponsors and we urge more sponsors to not only come to us but also sponsor other teams in Women League. These sponsors will improve team's welfare and make the league more competitive," he added.Despite the financial challenges, Falcons put up a spirited fight in the 2017 campaign finishing fourth behind eventual winners Vihiga Queens, Oserian and Wadadia FC.
